2023 Barrie Dragon Boat Festival

The dragons are coming! The 2023 edition of the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival, hosted by the Barrie Public Library and presented by Tim Horton’s, comes to Kempenfelt Bay this Saturday August 19th.

The first race of the day is at 7:48am. Please click here for a complete schedule of races.

Schedule:

  • 6:30 am – registration opens
  • 7:00 am – Team Captains meeting; Awakening of the Dragon ceremony
  • 7:48 am – races begin
  • 9:00 am – Library on the Bay – Family Literacy Activities
  • 9:15 am – Memory Moment
  • 10:15 am – second set of heats begin
  • 11:30 am – Wellness break
  • 12:30 pm – final set of races begin
  • 2:00 pm – with races completed, awards ceremony begins
