Hello Dragon Boat Barrie Paddlers!

Below are some important updates about DBB Teams, as well as an opportunity to come out and try trampoline! Hey, the water is still frozen, so why not trampoline!?

Club Tramp-o-Lean

Trampoline!  Alexacise Fitness Studio is offering a Club Tramp-o-lean class for our members Saturday March 1st at 8:15am for $25 (incl tax) at Vertical Zone 361 King St #5.  Spaces are limited to 15 people so please register using this link ASAP:  http://dbbtrampolean.eventbrite.ca   Money can be paid at the time of the class or by e-transfer to

PaddleStrong – Competitive

PaddleStrong is our most competitive dragon boat team, practicing at least twice per week and traveling to 5+ festivals around the province. Most of our PaddleStrong paddlers have prior years’ experience paddling, however it is not a requirement so long as you have the will and drive to meet the physical challenge of paddling with our most competitive team.

The 2014 season plan has now been finalized! 50% of your fees, or $200 is due this Friday February 28. Please e-mail us at to arrange payments. If you’re not able to make your payment right away, please let us know so that we can make alternate arrangements. The remainder of your fee is due May 15.

PowerStrokes – Intermediate

PowerStrokes is designed for beginner and intermediate level paddlers. The 2014 season planning meeting for PowerStrokes is taking place on Monday March 3 at 7pm at Desjardins Securities, which is located inside Unit 3 at the plaza at the corner of Mapleview and Huronia in Barrie. PaddleAvengers – Beginner – NEW THIS YEAR!

PaddleAvengers is designed strictly for beginner paddlers. The utmost goal is to have fun both on and off the water!

That’s What She Said (TWSS) – Women’s Team

Paddlers for TWSS will have the opportunity to participate in extra practices and races, competing against other teams in women’s only races. Paddlers for TWSS must also be a paddler with any one of our other teams in order to participate.
