REMINDER: DBB Annual General Meeting, and other important events!

Here is a friendly reminder about some of our important upcoming events!
Annual General Meeting – Thursday January 23, 2014
Our AGM is taking place this Thursday January 23 at 7pm at Burton Avenue Church, located at 37 Burton Avenue in Barrie.
We will be going over our financials and survey results from last season, as well as discussing plans for the club for 2014. We will also be signing up paddlers for our teams for the upcoming season, so if you’re interested in joining a team please come on out and see what we’re all about!

PaddleStrong Planning Meeting – Thursday January 30, 2014
PaddleStrong, our most competitive dragon boat paddling team, will be holding their 2014 Season Planning Meeting on Thursday January 30, 2014 at 7pm. The meeting will be taking place at 258 Pine Drive in Barrie (aka Bev’s house!)
PaddleStrong generally practices at least twice a week starting in mid-May, going into mid-September and is most suited to experienced, competitive paddlers. They participate in about 5 different races across the province throughout the summer.

PowerStrokes Planning Meeting – Monday March 3, 2014
PowerStrokes, our beginner/intermediate dragon boat paddling team, will be holding their 2014 Season Planning meeting on Monday March 3, 2014 at 7pm. The meeting will take place at Desjardins Securities, located at 237 Mapleview Drive East, Unit 3, in Barrie.
PowerStrokes generally practices once per week starting in early June, going into mid-September and participates in at least two festivals.
